FIN3R Symposium
2024
FIN3R Center is proud to invite you to the Finnish 3Rs Annual Symposium!
This year, we will meet at the University of Oulu, from November 4th to November 6th, 2024. We have prepared two workshops and more than ten talks by top experts in the field for the three-day event. For more information about the topics and sessions, have a look at the program below!
Recordings of the talks will be provided for all the registered participants who are unable to attend the event on-site. Please note that the material will be available only after the lectures and there will be no live streaming.
Participants are welcome to present their work through posters and oral presentations. In order to do so, please submit your abstract here by 30 September! Doctoral students are eligible to receive 0.5 ECTS points for the poster and 1 ECTS for the oral presentation. Students with both oral and poster presentations are eligible for 1.5 ECTS.
For researchers and personnel working with laboratory animals, attending the Symposium can be regarded as part of the statutory maintenance of professional competence. For that, you will receive a certificate of attendance.

FIN3R'S ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM: NOVEMBER 6-7, 2023
FIN3R is organizing the Annual Symposium at Meilahti Campus, Helsinki University. The aim of the Symposium is to present current situation in fundamental biological and pharmacological research and drug development, focusing on scientific excellence, quality, as well as 3R principles in animal testing - refinement, reduction and replacement. Over two days, you will have a chance to discuss different topics related to each R with keynote speakers from all around the world.
As part of the Symposium, "Power analysis workshop" will take place on November 7th, bringing credits for PhD and M. Sc. students.
Symposium is organized in collaboration with University of Helsinki Docotral Programes in Biomedicine, Drug Research and Brain and Mind. Students can receive credits for participation - 1cr for participation in lectures and power analysis workshop; 1cr for poster presentation.
